Today the national media informed of the death of Danuta Schetyna (1929-2021), a former Home Army soldier, distributor of underground press and liaison officer of the Radomsko Home Army District. After the Second World War, Mrs. Schetyna moved to Opole, where she was the long-time chairman of the Opole City Circle of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers. One of her initiatives concerned changing the name of the ZWM estate. She cooperated with the Museum regularly, representing the organization she led at our vernissages, meetings, and, above all, at anniversary ceremonies, including the anniversary of the arrival of the first transport of Warsaw insurgents to Stalag 344 Lamsdorf.
She will always be in our hearts.
