'Daddy, when will you come back?' at the"History Point" in Kielce

Our exhibition on the fate of Polish families during World War II is currently on display at the "History Point" Educational Center of the Institute of National Remembrance in Kielce. It can be viewed until 6 May 2024.

Firstly, the exhibition is designed to create an emotionally permeated atmosphere of the years of captivity, which were difficult for family bonds to be preserved, and secondly, to outline the historical circumstances in which Polish children, their mothers, and fathers-turned-prisoners separated from their loved ones, had to live. The first boards depict an unusual undertaking initiated 80 years ago in Kraśnik - children from the local kindergarten began their correspondence with Polish officers from Oflag VI B Dössel. The second part of the exhibition sheds light on the intimate world of relations between fathers held in POW camps and their relatives.

You are cordially invited to visit the exhibition!
