Commission of Culture and Sport at Łambinowice

Yesterday, on 20 September, members of the Opole Province’s Committee of Culture and Sport held an offsite meeting at our Museum seat in Łambinowice. The meeting was chaired by its head, Janusz Trzepizur, and the guests were welcomed by Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, director of the CMJW.

The meeting began with the participation of guests, as observers, in a meeting summarising the outdoor challenges of pupils from the School in Tułowice. It is a new addition to the Museum's educational offer. A very important part of the meeting was the presentation of information on the completed, ongoing and planned reconstruction works at our Łambinowice site. The guests listened to the director's report and then were shown around the new pavilion, from which the functional and organisational changes at the Museum began in 2019. These consist in the construction of an entrance area for visitors, adaptation to the needs of the mobility impaired, the reorganisation and creation of educational, storage, office, sanitary and service spaces and a new exhibition in the renovated exhibition halls, in addition to the improvement of the Museum's surroundings and the construction of a car park. The task is expected to be completed by 2025.

The work is being conducted as part of the investment task entitled 'Reconstruction of the Museum building in Lambinowice at 4 Muzealna Street, together with improvements to the surroundings'. The work to date has been implemented thanks to money from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Opole Regional Government.
