Change of the date of archaeological walk

We would like to inform you that due to the forecasted heavy rainfall, the meeting of the "Lessons from reading the landscape" series planned for Wednesday has been postponed to Friday (14 July). It will start at 5 p.m., in front of the Museum seat in Łambinowice.

The goal of the archaeological walks is to discover the traces that have been left in the contemporary Łambinowice landscape by the military training ground and the prisoner-of-war camps. Changes of this kind are often hardly visible, due to the passage of time, atmospheric and natural conditions and human activity. Therefore, expert guidance is essential to read them, which is also helped by modern research methods.

The tours are given by a team of archaeologists including Dr. Dawid Kobiałka, Kamil Karski and Adam Lokś. The last, third walk is scheduled for 19 July, at 5 p.m. In the event of an unfavourable weather forecast, information about the date change will be published on the Museum's website and social media.

You are cordially invited to attend the walk, and please remember to put on appropriate clothes for it.

"Lessons from reading the landscape" is one of the events implemented by the Museum as part of the project 'Science for Society, Society for Science at the Site of National in Łambinowice', financed by the Ministry of Education and Science.
