Article by Dr. Dawid Kobiałka’s team in ‘Antiquity’

Good news regarding the 'Science for Society, Society for Science at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice' project: the editors of the prestigious journal ‘Antiquity’ have accepted for publication a text prepared by Dr. Dawid Kobiałka's team.

The article is written in the form of the so-called photo-essay with an extensive use of photographs taken during the archaeological work at the memorial site in 2022. Readers from all over can get familiar with the piece in the Antiquity Project Gallery. Starting in 2002, the archive now contains over 800 articles. The ‘Antiquity’ itself has a much longer tradition – it has been published since 1927, currently with a frequency of six issues per year. Publication in its pages is a great honour for archaeologists not only from the Old Continent, as the periodical is, in accordance with its subtitle, a 'Review of World Archaeology'.

According to the ministerial list of journals, the publication in the ‘Antiquity’ has scored the maximum number of points, which clearly emphasises its value and, for the authors of the photo essay, is an important parameter in their scientific work. From the Museum's perspective, no less important is the question of the wide dissemination of the project's results thanks to the free-to-access mode. Let it be also said that this will be Dr. Kobiałka's second publication in The Antiquity Project Gallery. The first text was about archaeology in Death Valley: https://tiny.pl/c9jcv.
