Announcement of the Night of Museums

Another European edition of the Night of Museums will soon take place on 13 May. Traditionally, this popular on the culture map event will be joined by numerous Polish museum institutions, including these from Opole. We could not miss it either.

The museum event at the CMJW will begin at 6 p.m. and will end one minute before midnight. At that time, visitors will have an opportunity to attend a curator’s tour of the permanent exhibitions and the temporary exhibition Anders's Artists – the stage and platform, which will have its opening, under the honorary patronage of Anna Maria Anders, on that special day at 8.30. p.m.

The themes featured in the exhibition are a continuation of two documentary films: Anders's Artists and Anders's Artists – the stage and platform. Their screening is another highlight of the Night of Museums. To a certain extent, the story of Poles who went through the combat route with General Anders's Army will also be referred to by songs performed by Basia Beuth. The gifted girl from Opole will be accompanied by vocalists from the Studio Działań Kreatywnych, and Maria Spólna, an instrumentalist and singer. The programme also includes art workshops for adults and children entitled "Nothing Twice".

The Night of Museums in Opole enjoys the honorary patronage of Andrzej Buła, Marshal of the Opole Province, and Arkadiusz Wiśniewski, Mayor of Opole.
