Anniversary of the 3rd May Constitution

After a two-year break caused by the pandemic restrictions, the Opole Governor again organised celebrations of the anniversary of the 3rd May Constitution – this year it was the 231st one. The Museum was represented by its Director Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska.

The commemoration was preceded by a Mass for the intention of the Homeland in the Opole Cathedral. Then, at the Monument to the Fighters for the Polishness of Opole Silesia, the participants listened to speeches, laid flowers and lit candles.

During the May Holiday is also celebrated the Polish National Flag Day, and, in Opole Silesia, there is as well mark the anniversary of the Third Silesian Uprising. The latter event took place at Saint Anna Mounting, in the local sanctuary and at the Monument of the Uprising Deed.
