Agreement with the Institutes of Pedagogical Sciences

The University of Opole is an institution with which our Museum has been cooperating for a long time, enjoying joint ventures with the Institutes of History and Pedagogical Sciences and the Faculty of Arts. Some areas of this cooperation are defined by partnership agreements.

Today, in the main seat of the CMJW in Opole, there has been signed a tripartite agreement between the Museum, the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, and the Association of the Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War. It was signed by the Director of the INP UO, Prof. Edward Nycz, the President of the Association of the Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, and board member of it Dr. Renata Kobylarz-Buła. The Museum was represented by Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska.

Among the agreed activities described in the document is, among other things, the protection of national heritage, as well as building the social and cultural identity among the young generation. Particular emphasis is placed on disseminating knowledge on the history of Lamsdorf/Łambinowice camps and fate of prisoners-of- war of different nationalities during World War II.
