,,The war, captivity and duels on words” – project funding
Last week, a list of winners of the autumn edition of the competition for the implementation of projects "EDUKO - VERY YOUNG CULTURE 2019-2021 - OPOLSKIE" was published. The application of the Association of Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War is on it, which means we have been granted funds in the amount of PLN 8 thousand. They will make it possible to carry out the project The war, captivity and duels on words, of which our Museum is a very important partner.
The aim of the co-financed project is to hone effective and ethic communication skills of young people. One of the basic tools to achieve that will be a tournament of Oxford debates, effective and attractive didactic methods, which have a form of intellectual competition. All elements of the project will refer to the subject of WW2, the Warsaw Uprising and POW captivity.
In the event, scheduled for the September and October, will participate, alongside of our Museum, four secondary schools from the Opole Province and the Public Kindergarten in Łambinowice. The main addressees of the project are young people (16-19 years old) and children at preschool age.
