"... but that's a different story now". The first showing of the eleventh episode

On the last Monday in November we present the next instalment of the film series prepared by the Museum. The episode is entitled The History of a Piece of Cloth.

The heroine of the film and, at the same time, the owner of the eponymous piece of cloth, is the actress Zofia Książek-Bregułowa (1920-2014), who after World War II worked, among others, in Polish Radio in Warsaw, State Theatre of the Opole Region, and in Silesian Theatre in Katowice. She is also known to literature lovers as the author of several volumes of poetry.

Today's episode shows mainly the uprising and prisoner-of-war fate of Zofia, and the story revolves around a unique object of the CMJW – a woman's blouse in size 38.

We produced the series at the end of 2020, thanks to funding from the 'Culture Available' programme of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The twelve episodes, presented this year on every last Monday of the month, were produced, according to the concept of Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, by Sławomir Mielnik.

The next, last episode of the series will be presented on  27 December.

You are welcome to watch the film!
