We extend our invitation to the meeting promoting a new book published by the Museum
It is within the framework of Poznań Academic Archaeological Seminars that the lecture will be given by Dr hab. Michał Pawleta, Professor of Adam Mickiewicz University and Dr Dawid Kobiałka, entitled “Archaeology and society at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice”. It will make an occasion to promote our latest publication devoted to research carried out in Łambinowice.
We want to invite interested persons to Poznań on Tuesday, 27 January, at 16:30, venue: Dean’s Hall of Collegium Historicum at 7 Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego Street. The four authors of the book “Archaeology and Society at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice”, namely: Dr Dawid Kobiałka, Dr hab. Michał Pawleta, Professor of Adam Mickiewicz University, Dr Kamil Karski and Eng. Marek Michalski, MA, will be represented by the first two of them. The meeting is devoted to the contents presented in the above-mentioned book which was published by our publishing house. It makes a summary of the interdisciplinary works conducted at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice in the years 2022–2024.
Both the lecture and the publication of our colleagues-researchers make an invitation to discuss the question of how archaeologists and historians can participate in the public debate concerning difficult heritage. We invite everybody interested in archaeology of contemporary times and the problem area of sites of remembrance to attend.
