We extend our invitation to “Łambinowice Museum Meeting” with Edmund Borzemski
The upcoming meeting in April will be hosted by Elżbieta Lisak-Duda. The main guest will be Edmund Borzemski and his poetic world, including the poet’s latest output expressed in the volume under the title Garbus idzie [The Hunchback Is Coming], which contains over 100 poems saturated with the reflection on the value of life, price of friendship and passing.
For years Edmund Borzemski has been attached to Korfantów. His debut as a poet took place in 1987 and since then his output has grown to an impressive number of 14 volumes of poems. The poet comes across as a keen observer of the reality, never indifferent to historical or contemporary dramas. A good proof of this attitude is also his interest in the complicated history of the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice or in the dramatic fates of refugees from Ukraine. As an active member of organizations of creators, such as Krakow Confraternity of Poets, Upper-Silesian Association of Writers in Katowice or the Teachers’ Literary Club in Opole, he has written into the cultural landscape of the region and the country for good. He was distinguished many times for the literary output, being awarded, among others, the Marshall of Opole Voivodeship Award (2020) and the Silver Badge of the Polish Writers’ Union (2026).
During the meeting, which will be held in the Łambinowice seat of our Museum on 8 April at 17.00, there will be plenty of moments to ponder over Edmund Borzemski’s lyrical verses and to enter into a conversation with the poet, purchase the publication at a promotional price and ask the author for the autograph.
We kindly invite to this unique savouring of the art of words!
