We are saying our farewell to Andrzej Misz

It is with great sorrow that we heard about the passing of Andrzej Misz – a veterinary surgeon, local government activist and former Head of the Commune of Łambinowice, for many years actively engaged in matters relating to the local community and in cooperation with our Museum.

Andrzej Misz was born in 1948 in Tarnowskie Góry. He graduated from the Agricultural College in Wrocław. From 1970 he worked for the Regional Veterinary Office in Opole, and from 1976 he managed the State Animals Treatment Clinic in Łambinowice. He was a co-founder of the Opole Medical-Veterinary Chamber, a person held in a very high esteem for his professionalism and dedication to work.

For many years he also actively participated in the public life of the region. In the years 2002–2006, he held the post of the Head of the Łambinbowice Commune, undertaking a great number of actions for the development of the commune and its inhabitants. In recognition of his activity he was awarded the “Medal of Merit for Opole Region”.

We want to pass our sincere condolences to the family of the Late Andrzej Misz.
