The Polish Army Day
On Saturday, 15 August, Opole hosted a ceremony celebrating the Polish Armed Forces Day, which was organized by the 10th Logistics Brigade.
The celebration began with a holy mass offered for the Mother Country, following which, the participants moved to the accompaniment of a band and assisted by the Military Honour Guard to the monument dedicated to Fighters for the Polishness of Opole Silesia. There, the main ceremony took place and afterwards a picnic was organized for the public, including presentation of military equipment and gear.
Our Museum was represented by Dr Renata Kobylarz-Buła, Deputy Director. The ceremony was an opportunity to underline the many-year cooperation with the Polish Army, in particular with the 10th Logistic Brigade, whose support is vital for implementation of many enterprises undertaken by our Museum.
On the occasion of the Polish Army Day, we extend our best wishes to all soldiers and civil employees of the Army, wishing them prosperity, fulfilment in the service and carrying out their daily duties in safety.
