We met today at the Site of National Remembrance at the symbolic ‘H-hour’. In front of the Monument dedicated to Warsaw Insurgents – Prisoners of War in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf, we commemorated the 82^nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Rising, a large group of participants of which were brought to Lamsdorf in October 1944. Elżbieta Góra and Krzysztof Harupa of the Department of Collections and Conservation, as well as Michał Jakubik of the Department of Education and Exhibitions were those who were leading the inhabitants of Łambinowice and its environs, youth and representatives of the local authorities, Tułowice Forest District and educational institutions during the celebration commemorating the anniversary.

Parallel to this event, Director of the Museum, Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, represented our institution at the anniversary celebration organized by the Voivodeship authorities at the Monument of the Home Army in Opole, also held at 5 o’clock p.m..

It is already today that we want to invite everybody to the celebration which will be held on 6 October this year at the Monument of Warsaw Insurgents – Prisoners of War in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf. We will commemorate then the 82^nd anniversary of the arrival of the first transport of Warsaw Insurgents in Lamsdorf.
