The Finals of the Recitation Contest – the list of winners

On 17 April, at the seat of the Museum in Łambinowice, the Finals of the XXXIII Contest of Recitation of POW Poetry “Let us not lose memory” was held. There were 77 students, representatives of schools of Opole Voivodeship, who took part in it. The rehearsals were run in three age categories.

The event was organized by our Museum supported by the Society of Friends to the Central Museum of Prisoners of War and the County Starost Office in Nysa. It also was run under the honorary patronage of the Voivode of Opole, Monika Jurek, Marshal of Opole Voivodeship, Szymon Ogłaza, Opole Starost, Henryk Lakwa, as well as the Chief Officer of Opole Local Educational Authority, Joanna Raźniewska. The media patronage over the contest was provided by: TVP 3 Opole, Radio Opole, Radio Doxa, The Opolska Weekly, The Nysa News, Hot Nysa Portal.

The recitations by the competitors were judged by the panel of jurors, composed of the following theatre actors, poets and philologists based in Opole Region: Danuta Babicz-Lewandowska, Edmund Borzemski, Waldemar Kotas, Elżbieta Lisak-Duda, Leszek Malec, Iwona Ratajczak, Teodozja Świderska, Aurelia Walczuk, Beata Wnęk-Malec.

The Jury awarded the following prizes:

  • Category: primary schools – Forms IV–VI:

I prize - Antoni Piechaczek, representing the School-Kindergarten Complex in Krośnica; teacher: Brygida Hurek;

II prize - Leia Jung, representing Primary School No. 1 in Głubczyce; teacher: Izabela Rostowska;

III prize - Paulina Gąska, representing State Primary School in Tułowice; teacher: Barbara Rodecka.

Distinctions: Jagoda Cichy, representing State Primary School in Łambinowice; teacher: Ilona Karpińska and Michał Marcinkiewicz, representing State Primary School in Tułowice; teacher: Barbara Rodecka.

  • Category: primary schools – Forms VII–VIII:

I prize - Julia Czubasiewicz, representing State Primary school in Łambinowice; teacher: Violetta Junka;

II prize - Ida Hojda, representing State Primary School No. 2 in Głuchołazy; teacher: Joanna Janusz;

III prize - Hanna Czajka, representing State Primary School No. 15 in Opole; teacher: Patrycja Wojtyto;

Distinctions: Agata Zając, representing State Primary School No. 2 in Głubczyce; teacher: Alicja Dobrowolska and Karol Kowalski, representing State Primary School No. 2 in Głuchołazy; teacher: Joanna Janusz.

I prize - Magdalena Bawełkiewicz, representing State Grammar Comprehensive School No. III in Opole, teacher: Justyna Strzelczyk-Juszczak;

II prize - Szymon Serafin, representing Complex of State Technical Schools of Economics in Opole; teacher: Beata Krywalska-Wlazło;

III prize - Zuzanna Froelich, representing State Grammar Comprehensive School No. I in Opole; teacher: Izabela Maćków;

Distinction: Emilia Jarosz, representing Sate Grammar Comprehensive School No. II in Opole; teacher: Joanna Nazarkiewicz.

The teachers who had prepared the laureates were honoured with individual letters of congratulations. All the participants of the Contest were presented with diplomas.
