The 81st anniversary of the liberation of Stalag 344 Lamsdorf: we extend our invitation to participate in a joint commemoration
We kindly remind of the fact that this year we are preparing a celebration of the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Stalag 344 Lamsdorf. We are getting ready for the day with a deep belief that memory of those events is our common moral obligation.
Like every year, we wish to invite you to take part in the celebration which will begin on 17 March at 12.00 o’clock in front of the Monument of Martyrdom of Prisoners of War at our Site of National Remembrance. The programme of the celebration includes occasional speeches, interdenominational prayer, Remembrance Roll Call as well as symbolic laying flowers and lighting candles at the monument.
This year’s celebration is organized under the joint honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Ms. Monika Jurek – Opole Voivode and Mr. Szymon Ogłaza – Marshal of Opole Voivodeship.
