Report on seminar for teachers

Today our Museum organised a virtual seminar entitled We need each other. What do local government-run cultural institutions offer schools? The venue was addressed to teachers of Opole Province.

The participants were welcomed by Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, director of the CMJW. Dr. Anna Czerener from the Research Department of our Museum delivered the introductory lecture entitled Mind opened to values. How local cultural institutions can support schools.

The main part of the seminar consisted of presentations of the educational propositions of the local government-run cultural institutions. They were presented by Bernadetta Warchał, Head of the Department of Museum Education at the Opole Silesia Museum; Ewa Olbryt, Head of the Department of Accessibility and Education at the Opole Village Museum and Adam Boberski, Head of the Department of Education, Publishing and Promotion at the Museum of the Silesian Piasts in Brzeg; Justyna Oleksy, a cultural animator from the Centre for Cultural Education at the J. Kochanowski Theatre in Opole; Katarzyna Wybraniec, the main specialist for the organisation of artistic work and media relations at the Opole Philharmonic; Violetta Łabędzka, deputy director of the Voivodeship Public Library in Opole; and Dr. Anna Wickiewicz, Head of the Department of Education and Exhibitions of our Museum, who also acted as the moderator in this part of the event.

The meeting was also attended by Agnieszka Kamińska, director of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of the Office of Marshal of Opole Province, who represented the initiator of the project Marshal Andrzej Bula.
