On Friday, 17 April, the seat of our Museum in Łambinowice will become the arena of a recitation competition. This year, already for the 33^rd time, the Museum organizes the Provincial Contest of Recitation of POW Poetry, entitled “Let us not lose the memory”.

There will be 77 students from various educational institutions based in Opole Voivodeship taking part in the contest. Each of them will present one piece of poetry connected with Nazi or Soviet camps, specifically ones designed for POWs. The pieces are selected by the participants themselves. The performance will be evaluated by a panel of jurors that will include actors, educators as well as creators and critics of poetry.

Important information for those who applied for the transfer provided by our Museum: on the day of the Contest the coach will leave for Łambinowice at 7.45 am. The participants are asked to gather at 7.30 am in the carpark in front of “Toropol” in Barlickiego Street. The return to Opole is planned for 15.00.

In view of the great interest in the recitation competition we would like the interested to acquaint themselves with the Appendix attached to the Contest Regulations.

Moreover, we want to inform that the Museum in Łambinowice will be closed to visitors during the Contest. We hope we will be excused for our effort to provide an optimal comfort to the participants.
