New offer of the Museum gift shop
The assortment of our Museum shop has been enriched with articles of two types, which have not been presented so far: caps and notebooks. The shape, selection of colours and interesting pattern of the cap, as well as the copybook-like cover of the notebook, stitched together with a thread, decorated with original words to ponder, ones that were carefully chosen from historical sources, make a continuation of the stylistic line devised by the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.
The knitted caps make a complete novelty in the offer to date. The design, whose main accent is contained in the word ‘Kuknij’ that has its equivalent in the phrase ‘Take a peek’ and the handknit eyelets making reference to it, were elaborated by the firm Studio Widok of Krakow. The phrase meaning ‘have a look’ has a colloquial character and appears, among others, in dialogues of Warsaw Insurgents in our audio drama under the title “We were here” (dir. A. Celiński, 2024).
The design of the notebook in turn was made by Marek Krajewski. Its simple form with cardboard cover and the so-called open spine harmonizes with, for instance, the calendar for the year 2026. An additional link are mottos-thoughts – the same that are ‘patrons’ of the individual months of the year.
All the products are available at the Museum shop (here) and at both of our seats (Opole and Łambinowice).
