New educational exposition and further reconstruction of the Museum in Łambinowice!

On the grounds of the former prisoner-of-war camp Stalag 318/VII F (344) Lamsdorf an educational exposition is being created. Also, finishing works will be carried out in the entrance pavilion of the Museum building in Łambinowice.

The exhibition in the area of the former prisoner-of-war camp will comprise small architectural objects and elements of a new educational path, including a spatial model of the camp, a timeline and a sculptural installation. Significant changes will also take place inside the exhibition hut. The contractor for the works, which will be completed in 2021, is the General Construction Company Alfa-Edgar Witkowski and Woroniecki Sp. Jawna. The cost of the works is PLN 556 802.55. The order is financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the framework Opolskie Voivodeship Regional Operational Programme for 2014-2020 and by funds from the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport within the framework the Promesa Programme.

Whereas, the works connected within the framework "Reconstruction of the Museum building in Łambinowice at 4 Muzealna Street, including improvement of the surroundings" will be carried out by Zakład Techniczno-Budowlany POLBAU Sp. z o.o. The finishing and installation works of the entrance pavilion, the communication structures between floors and the execution of the pavilion's facade have been valued at PLN 2,791,705.21, of which PLN 1,827,756.00 is provided by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, and PLN 963,949.21 by the Opole Province. This is the second stage of works which have commenced in 2019.
