On Thursday (19 May) at the National Ossoliński Institute in Wrocław was held a General Meeting of Members of the Polish Association of Museum Inventory Registrars (PSIM) 2022. It was attended by Elżbieta Góra, MA, head of the Department of Collections and Conservation. The meeting was accompanied by a two-day conference.

The representative of the Museum, who is a member of  PSIM, first participated in the presentation of reports, plans, proposals for statutory changes and in the election of the association's authorities, and then in the vote on their approval. Julia Brańburska, MA., head of the Department of Collections of the Museum of Wrocław University, was elected as the new President of the Polish Association of Museum Inventory Registrars.

On 19-20 May was held a conference entitled Provenance research in the work of museum inventory registrar and in collection management. The discussed issues include, among others, extending museum collections, research on museum collections, and modern technologies in the museum worker’s workshop.

The event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience of the experts in various fields who represented numerous museums and public administration institutions. The meeting also included a tour of the interior of the National Ossoliński Institute and the temporary exhibition Twilight of the Tobacco Age.
