Happy Christmas!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are leaving an exceptional, jubilee year behind us. We were celebrating 60 years of our Museum’s activity, making it a time full of events: commemorative, scientific and educational. Many of you had a share in them. We would like to cordially thank you for your engagement and wish you peaceful, joyful moments in the coming time of Christmas and throughout the New Year!
This year’s Christmas card makes reference to what seems the most important to all of us – the sense of security. It is expressed with the words “It’s time to get back home”, by which we naturally make reference to the war and fates of thousands of Prisoners of War longing for this wish to materialize. The illustration, inspired by the poem “Christmas Tree” by Barbara Lewandowska, nom de guerre “Wirta”, was made by Ewelina Kędzia – an Opole-based graphic designer.
