1 September – let us be together to commemorate victims of World War 2
We want to invite everybody to jointly commemorate victims of World War 2 on the 87th anniversary of its outbreak.
We will light symbolic candles at the Monument of Martyrdom of Prisoners of War in Łambinowice on 1 September (Tuesday) at 11.oo a.m. We encourage everybody to pay tribute to victims of the War, including Polish soldiers who, in September 1939, came to be interned at the prisoner of war camp in Lamsdorf.
On the same day, at 1.30 p.m., at the Opole seat of our Museum, there will be organized curator-led visiting of the exhibition “All Inclusive. The Odyssey of Lieutenant Stanisław Andres 1939–1947”. It is planned to take place after the end of the annual celebration organized by the Opole Voivodeship Office.
In the evening, we again invite everybody to join us in Łambinowice. At 6 p.m., in Mary Magdalene Church, there will start the successive edition of the concert under the title “A prayer of Peace”. This year we will hear “Religious songs of Franciszek Karpiński”. More information can be found in the official invitation (click here).
All the events are free. We invite everybody to participate!
