Terms of acceptance of works for publication in The Łambinowice Museum Yearly

  1. The works sent in should not exceed the size of one author’s sheet (40 thousand characters including the spaces between the words, 4-centimeter margin, 1.5 line spacing).
  2. Articles submitted for publication should comply with the requirements set for scientific texts. Authors are obliged to indicate the sources used in their elaborations in references at the bottom of the page, respectively.
  3. The articles to be published in the sections “Articles and materials” and “Archive” must be accompanied with a half-a-page summary for translation in foreign languages.
  4. The works to be published in the first three sections, that is “Articles and materials”, “Archive” and “Memoirs and accounts” can be enriched with appropriately described illustrative material. Authors should mark all the places in the text, where this material is to be inserted.
  5. The Editors reserve the right – as long as it does not violate the author’s intentions – to correct stylistic flaws in the text, shortening of complementing it, as well as apply the manner of adjusting the style of executing references to the convention accepted for the yearly.
  6. The works must be original, not published anywhere else earlier. After having been published in Łambinowicki Rocznik Muzealny another publication of the whole or a part of it cannot be done without the permission of the Publisher, i.e., the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.
  7. Materials should be sent in on a CD (Word text editor) or via electronic mail together with the printed version. The Editors guarantee to return the data carriers, photographs and diapositives.
  8. The work should be signed with the name(s) and surname of the author, as well as provide information on the author’s scientific degree or title and the institution which they represent/are affiliated with. It also should bear the telephone number, fax number or e-mail address in case the author needs contacting.
  9. The author is obliged to supply information required by the Tax Office, which should include: names of the author’s parents, date and place of the author’s birth, personal identity number (PESEL) and taxpayer identification number (NIP), address of abode, address of the relevant Tax Office, as well as the name of the bank and the number of the author’s personal account.
  10. The Editors accept materials throughout a year. Selection and qualification of works for publication in the subsequent volume of the journal take place once a year, towards the end of the first half-year. The works qualified for publication are subject to reviewing.
  11. The Editors do not return materials which were not ordered.
  12. The authors of published articles are presented with one copy of the volume free of charge.
  13. The authors of published works are paid fees according to the rates defined by the Publisher, depending on the means at the disposal.
  14. The yearly comes out in the paper and electronic versions.
  15. The Editors remind that cases of ghostwriting or guest authorship are a manifestation of scientific misconduct and shall be unmasked, including notification of relevant entities (institutions employing the author, scientific societies, associations of scientific editors, etc.).
