The educational offer of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War for elementary, middle and secondary schools comprises lessons and prelections on the Museum, conducted free of charge by members of the personnel and people who cooperate with the institution. The activities can take place in schools or in other educational institutions or culture centers all over the Province or at the seat of the Museum (in Opole or Łambinowice).

The proposed problem area to be explored in lessons, being also presented within the framework of educational cycles, covers the following: the vicissitudes of (mainly Polish) soldiers remaining in the German and the Soviet POW systems during World War 2, the history of the camps in Łambinowice, and also presentation of the very Museum itself and the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. Moreover, there are changes introduced into the thematic offer every school year. Individual educational programs are worked out in cooperation with teachers and students.

The interdisciplinary thematic range of classes (history, study of society, literature, culture, art, religion and sport) makes it possible to conduct them in different subjects. The basic didactic methods of lessons and museum prelections are lectures, talks and discussions. Very often the classes are diversified with a film show, recordings, media-based presentations, or a display on the relevant subject. Lecturers are characterized by a high level of flexibility in the scope of adaptation to the conditions and possibilities met at schools or other centers taking advantage of the offer of lessons and museum prelections.
