76th anniversary of the arrival of the first transport of Warsaw Insurgents to Stalag 344 Lamsdorf.
Yesterday, on 6th of October, if front of the monument dedicated the Warsaw insurgents, we marked the 76th anniversary of the arrival of their first transport to Stalag 344 Lamsdorf. The commemoration was organized, alongside of the Museum, by The Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, International Union of the Home Army Soldiers in Opole region, and the Community Office in Łambinowice. The commemoration was assisted by an honour guard of 10th Logistic Brigade in Opole.
Due to the pending epidemic, some parts of the commemoration, i.e. the premiere of two films – a documentary Lamsdorf station. The Warsaw insurgents in captivity by Mirosław Basaj (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfHJ2PVlhIw), and screen adaptation of the play Overthrown Words by Andrzej Czernik (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thqZkWKCKdM), took place online.
