The Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War is subordinated to the authorities of the local government of Opole Province, being financed from the budget of the Province. A substantial role in the functioning of the institution is also played by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as well as other public institutions, including, among others: Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, lately also Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Sites, Office of Opole City, Regional Office of Opole, School Superintendent’s Office. Among the sponsors of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War there are also other organs of the self-government (among others, Council of Opole City, Commune Head of Łambinowice), local companies (among others, Cooperative Bank “Bank Rolników” in Opole, Cement Plant “Odra” S.A.), organizations (among others, Association of Friends of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War in Łambinowice-Opole, Association of Poles Oppressed by the Third Reich, Katyń Family Association in Opole), as well as private persons.
